Operation of a road patrol mobility system
The Drive Group operates a nationwide patrol mobility system that provides initial support to drivers whose vehicle is stuck on the road for any reason. The service is provided free of charge. In addition, the patrol teams are responsible, among other things, for diverting from the road any hazard that interferes with traffic flow and to act as front line traffic control that supports the control room staff, in the operation of the ongoing road monitoring.
The patrol team carefully selected. Technical abilities, personal level and service awareness are key competencies for the selected rangers. The rangers undergo diverse training while getting to know the road, its varies elements, the use of technological means, driving skills and first aid.
The activity is carried out for a number of different projects and takes place on a wide network of roads nationwide – “Route 6, the Carmel Tunnels, on intercity roads that are under the responsibility of “Netivei Israel” – national transport infrastructure company, the Northern Road on roads 65, 4, 70, 66 and more.
